can i get rehired after terminated

i was terminated from target for stealing but i told them im willing to pay everything no matter how much it is in order to get my job back they said no police would be involved and they didnt make me sign a paper they told me everyone said i was a hard worker my tl and elt said i was a hard worker but is there anything i can do in order to get my job back

because to be honest i would work really hard i would start 5 minutes before i would clock in and i would not even take my last 15 i would carry all the palets and do the jack and crush the boxes eventhough i was 17 and i would fill my whole u bolt until there was no more space

See that was first mistake . Working thru your break that’s working off the clock and that could have gotten you fired as well.
Unfortunately like everyone said you won’t be able to be rehired.
Now finding another job I suggest not even putting Target as previous job. Even tho Target can’t say why you were fired. if asked a questions such as “ would you rehire this person” Target would say no , and implication of firing for cause is there and no one wants to deal with it.

Now when you get a new job , do your best and make sure you take your breaks and lunch. You get paid to take a break , you get fired if you don’t . And all jobs will protect themself before they would go the bat for you to say he works so hard yet he worked off the clock.

I always take all my breaks but, you are not clocked out for breaks so it is not working off the clock, in my 14 years with spot I’ve seen plenty people skip breaks and they have never been fired for it. never heard of anyone being coached for it.

Correct you are not clocked out for break however it is in the policy you must take it and if you don’t you would get fired for working off the clock . Break and lunch is state mandatory at least in most states.

Spot seemed to fear lawsuits far more than state enforcement, and skipping breaks became an issue after another retailer (I believe it was Walmart) lost a lawsuit regarding not giving employees their breaks. Whether or not the rule was strictly enforced or was just emphasized as legal CYA for Spot, the threat was there and ready to be used if leadership was looking to write someone up.

Sears did the same thing, but it was the unpaid breaks they cared about, same as my Target. As long as it's in record that you punched in and out for a meal, you're good.

I’ve never seen anyone fired at my store for skipping breaks. 14 year veteran here.

As people have said..
- No you are not going to be able to be hired at Target again after being terminated for theft (this would be for any company, really)
- You are quite lucky that you were not charged or prosecuted for this, and that law enforcement was not further involved
- It would be best to not return to that location, and definitely do not bring up the situation again. If they have let it go, take it as a win and leave it alone too.
- You said you are 17. That is young. Learn and grow from this (less theft in the future? Lol)
- Be careful in your future jobs and DO NOT list this on your resume. A job at 17 not on your resume will not be suspicious to anyone.
