What types of items were they for. I know ASANTS as far as returning HBA items with a gift receipt.

They were otc medicines mainly. And she bought 4 of everything. Oh, and she did two transactions in a row, which I don't like to do because it seems fishy, but nobody at gs seems to care.

Please tell me she didn't buy 4 items with 4 coupons on transaction 1 and then do it all over again with 4 coupons on transaction 2.

Four like coupons per person (I prefer to use "per household") per day. You can't break it into two transactions to take 8 like coupons EVER.

Here's part of the coupon policy:

Target Stores Coupon Policy
Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it is easy to use them at our stores. When accepting coupons, we follow the guidelines below to ensure all guests have the opportunity to purchase products at great prices.

Manufacturer and Target Coupons
  • Only one manufacturer coupon (paper or Cartwheel digital), one Target coupon (paper or digital), and one Cartwheel℠ offer can be combined per item (unless otherwise noted on coupon).
  • We have the right to refuse, or limit the use of any coupon and/or the subsequent return for any reason, including if guests' reoccurring behavior becomes disruptive or the items are deemed not to be for the purpose of using or gifting.
  • Limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon).
  • We do not accept expired coupons.
  • All coupons and Cartwheel must be presented to the cashier during checkout and have a scannable barcode. Coupons and Cartwheel offers cannot be applied to previous purchases.
  • Item purchased must match the coupon description (brand, size, quantity, color, flavor, etc.). Acceptance of unmatched coupons is against policy.
  • Coupons are void if copied, scanned, altered, transferred, purchased, sold, or prohibited by law.
  • The value of a coupon will be applied up to the reduced price of the item and any excess value will not be applied to the transaction total.
  • We do not give cash back nor do we apply any overages to the remaining items in the transaction if the value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.
  • The sales tax is calculated by using the full value of an item prior to applying a manufacturer coupon. Target coupons reduce the taxable amount of the items to which they apply, unless prohibited by law.
  • We cannot accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
  • Some items may not be available at all stores.
  • We do not accept counterfeit coupons.
  • We accept manufacturer coupons with a scannable GS1 data bar. We do not accept UPC-A coupon barcodes.
  • Target coupons, Cartwheel manufacturer coupons, and Cartwheel offers cannot be used on products sold by CVS.
  • We do not accept manufacturer coupons with no matching requirements (e.g. 992 family code).

this obviously isn't right as every store has a "fix a mistake>missed coupon/cartwheel"

Yup. Shit. Thank you so much for giving me info pertinent to my job. I appreciate you so much!

I don't cashier as my main job at Target so I don't run into this stuff very often. I would love to check this lady out again so I can deny her!! Haha!!

the missed cartwheel button really needs to just let you scan their cartwheel.

So you go into wrong price, correct the percentage as missed cartwheel and fix it that way. Kind of a pain but since most people only use cartwheel for a few items (at least at my store bc they really only want the points), it's not that bad.

Yeah I know but just scanning it as a missed coupon would be easier

I did not make this up. It's from Target's website.

BTW, the "Missed Coupon Cartwheel" does not show up every time for every transaction. Sometimes, that option disappears. I did not write the program for that either.

I'm not saying you didn't make it up. I'm just saying what my store and I believe many others actually do

We have it under K1 Change Amount. It's one of the choices under why we are doing the price change.

i've left gstl, but last i read on best practice, cartwheel is like a price adjustment. 2 weeks, as long as the offer is still valid you can do it.

At my store I believe we were told to treat it as missed coupon aka offer valid and 72 hours. I think-- I'll have to check next time I'm in as I have seen other TMs do it past 72 hours.
