Archived CVS Pharmacy @ Target

yes our store too they painted it baby blue last night and put up the cvs/pharmacy sign ... the TL has to work over night for a week to baby sit the medicine while they remodel.

I'll post a pix soon.

At our store they posted the hours of the CVS pharmacy on our entrance doors. The hours are the same as they were for Target......however, in small letters below the hours there is a notation that says that all pharmacies with only one pharmacist on duty will be closed at 1:30 to 2:00. Don't know if the phones will be turned off....although I'd bet that they will be turned off.

Until CVS can hire a whole boatload of pharmacists it appears that their "no lunch break" rule will have to wait.

Oh, I learned that Target has negotiated with CVS about maintenance medicines. The paperwork (from CVS/Caremark) says that after one three month prescription you have to use the mail service. My pharmacist says that this isn't going to happen for Target team members. We will continue to get our long term meds from our regular pharmacy (the new "regular" pharmacy).

I"m guessing that Target & CVS will have a very long term association. Don't think it will be CVS just paying rent to Target. For Target has to keep their guests happy. Maybe, in the end, CVS will become better because of their purchase of Target.

Why is the TL working the overnights (instead of the pharmacists)? And why for a week? They did ours on different nights over different weeks (1 night/week.)

Thanks for the information about the pension. For some reason, I do not see the "roll over" option on targetpayandbenefits.com. It may have
been removed since many of the options were removed now that we are considered to be "former" Target employees. I will call them on Monday.

On a side note, I noticed that on December 31, 2015, Target processed ONE paycheck on behalf of CVS. I, therefore, received a W-2 from CVS (not Target). I luckily saved the 12/31/15 paycheck stub in PDF format and when I compared the tax withholdings that were taken out of my check to the CVS W-2, the taxes reported on the CVS W-2 were understated. For example, the stub shows $200 in Federal Withholdings but the W-2 showed $50. Income tax withholdings work like a prepayment of taxes so essentially, I lost $150.

While this not a lot of money, I have been haggling with CVS to correct the W-2. They now refuse to make the correction stating the following reasons: "The W-2 tax withholding are correct" with no further explanation as to how the numbers tie. That's not true (my husband is a CPA). We contacted the IRS via this link and I urge everyone to do the same:

W-2 - Additional, Incorrect, Lost, Non-receipt, Omitted

Ask for a copy of the paystub as of December 31, 2015 that was labeled as CVS and compare it to the CVS W2. I predict that the 2016 W2 will be incorrect as well since Target processed payroll on behalf of CVS all the way through January 31, 2016.
Myhr.cvs.com has instructions on how to do a "rollover."

Is this confirmed? I too got the CVS/Caremark about using the mail service and was not happy. Going to be a pain ordering ahead and having to pay for 3 months supply at once. Going to talk to my "CVS at Target" pharmacist. Thanks

You should have the option of picking up a 90 day supply at any CVS store, including us inside Target. Your copay will be the same for a retail fill and mail order. Please use your CVS in Target and help us keep our jobs.

This is true, but you will have to get a 90-day supply. We've had people try and call to get the 90-day supply thing overridden, but they usually won't budge. It's only for maintenance meds on the list, though....not everything has to be 90-days.

Some CVS plans require you use mail order after 1-3 retail fills. In these cases they won't even cover you at a CVS location.
I'm hoping this won't be the case fro the plans given to Target team members.

I'm sorry for this rant but I'm livid right now and know this is the place to get this out.

Our pharmacists come up on a daily basis to get trenta ice waters and bring them back to pharmacy. They've always been sweet, respectful, and have always waited in line and thanked us afterward.

Well, one pharmacist came up to me to get the waters and looked upset. I asked her what was going on, and she made a comment that she's tired of being treated differently. I asked her what she meant, and long story short, no one acknowledges her any more. She walks past a Target TM and says hi, and they keep walking. She makes it a point to say hi to an ETL walking past pharmacy and this ETL flat out stared at her for a moment, shook their head, and walked away. She got teary telling me this and I felt myself get very heated, and feel awful at the same time. SHE'S STILL A HUMAN BEING AND HAS FEELINGS. I understand she's a part of CVS now, but does that mean we shouldn't respect her? Honestly, I can't believe the nerve of some people. I made sure to ask if us baristas still treat her the same and she said yes and thanked me for asking her that. Knowing, however, that my own managers refuse to speak to these pharmacists...I can't believe the immaturity. I'm really angry, and even though I know I can't do anything, I'm heartbroken for them.

So I'll keep greeting them, giving them their drinks, talking with them as I do, and telling them to have a good day because they sure as hell deserve it, and screw the ones who don't believe so.

Rant over.
Ugh.

@BaristaChick16 thank you for respecting us former Target TMs. Even though we are still in the same building, WORKING, most (not all) ETLs walk past me and say nothing. I am determined though, if I knew you when we were both red & khaki, I will still say hi. If they choose to ignore me, that'll look bad to any guests nearby.

BaristaChick & HLM, THANK YOU!!! There's basically ONE member of management who acknowledges us anymore. The rest act like we are lepers or something (unless they need something from US, of course!) We've always been treated "differently" at my store, but it's gotten 100x worse since the sale closed. 😡

I have to say, though, our Starbucks TMs are always great to us! Even if we call over and ask them to make us a drink, if they're now swamped themselves, they will. I love our Starbucks TMs!!!!

Usually, if you call, they will make an exception....at least every person I've told to call has been able to continue using us.

Every day that I come to work....or when I leave...I have always said "hello" to my two pharmacists....when a "floating" pharmacist would come I'd thank them for coming so that our store pharmacists could have the day off.

Anyway, for all the jerks who treat you like you are a second class citizen.....clearly they are not the kind of people you want near you.....and they probably weren't "friends" before.

Go above their immaturity and continue to say "hello!....and call them by name." At this point you are showing that you still are the same person that you were before. Make sure that you don't stoop to their level.

People can be idiots....sometimes it is because they don't know better....and other times they are aware of their behavior and are being idiots quite naturally!

This is going to sound corny...but RISE above and know that you are secure in who you are. Even if you aren't secure in who you are.....THEY don't know it.

Or another thing to think about is KARMA...eventually people will have to answer to a higher power or they'll get blasted and get what they deserve.......go KARMA!!

Or...as I think I've heard from a recent movie "Let it go!"

Or, if people are going to be so mean or petty toward you....are they really people that you want to have to see every day?

Just in case you all are wondering....these are some of the things I say to myself when I encounter people who think they are better than I am. Of all the things I say to myself the most important one to me is "treat people the way that you want to be treated." This phrase (which I believe with all my heart) is really the most important one.

Our success with this has been two out of I don't know how many, both times being "one time exceptions". They don't seem to want to budge on the mail order thing 🙁.

If i ever saw one of the etls acting like that I'd lose my job calling them out. It's one thing if you have new people, cause you may never have the chance to get to know them. But we didn't lose anyone. And our head pharmacist has worked for target longer than its been since the stl or etl has been out of high school. They are my target family and i love them. In fact I rarely bake for me team anymore, but my cvs team got a giant box of goodies.
Why is the TL working the overnights (instead of the pharmacists)? And why for a week? They did ours on different nights over different weeks (1 night/week.)
A key holder must be there, we did three nights one week and two single nights over the rest of the month.

I thought she meant JUST the TL....

There has to be a Pharmacist there while they work as the Roll up is up to do work behind the counter. A Pharmacist needs to be present to watch and account for things behind the counter.

Mine weren't. Just the etl. I'm not even sure if they sat and watched the vendor add my etl-log did two out of three nights and wouldn't have wanted to waste the time.

How does CVS pay their power bill ? Is it included in their rent? Or are vendors installing a differnt meter?
what about the water bill ??? they have a bathroom that target TLs and ETLs can NO longer use, lol.

i wanna shut off the A/C near the pharmacy is that possible ??

We don't have our own bathroom at my store. There is a unisex family bathroom that is next to the pharmacy that we have access to.

It's funny that you mention the a/c because 2 summers ago our pharmacy stayed around 85° for 6 or 7 months. Our SFT seemed to think it was fine. When they finally had an outside company come and look at it in September he fixed it very quickly. I'm in Texas where it's usually over 100° outside in the summer. It stays pretty cold in our pharmacy now, but it's definitely better than being hot.
