the electronics in my store recently got carpet in part of its area during a remodel. it has been renamed "tech". also the entertainment area of the store got back the tvs that play music videos.

Yes, part of our remodel. From what I know it is standard for most stores to get it (eventually)

It will be in all stores eventually. Every 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter they do a cycle of E&E remodels. Some of the newer ones are getting carpeted entertainment sections too.

We've had it since we opened (exactly 2 years ago now). Too many terrible songs are forever etched into my memory from those damned music video playing.

The Work song is gone, thankfully. I can't be the only one who hated "Adventures in Babysitting."

The Lindsay Sterling song isn't too bad at least.

But yeah, carpet here. For what it's worth, I feel it makes the electronics boat and surroundings look nicer. Thought when someone puked on the carpet it did smell far longer...you puked on the edge too, at least turn your head 180 degrees and do it on the hardlines tiling, you dolt.

Yep. And it doesn't match the drapes.

Does anybody know why they removed the tvs that play music videos in the first place only to bring them back in the remodel? Lol

We don't have carpet in Electronics and I hope we never get it there. We only have carpet in Softlines sales floor areas. The fitting rooms and the rest of the store have tile, thankfully.

How does it look like?

Video games and consoles are now over with entertainment and not near the boat. On one side of our boat is mobile stuff and phone cases and accessories, and the other side before the games is headphones, drones, landlines, stereo and computer stuff, and cameras.

It looks nicer, but it's a slightly longer walk to unlock the games for guests. The whole area isn't carpeted, just the boat and nearby surroundings.
