Technically you can but the expectation is that you will work the holidays.
Talk to your etl or HR about this. You should be fine but a lot of stores handle this differently. At my old store if you were busy with school they just wanted you to quit.
Every store is different but at mine well put you on a educational leave and then instruct you to call back with when you expect to be back for the holidays and then bring you out of loa for that week.
Yes, but only if your store is okay with it. I believe you might also need to be past your 90 days if you are new. After 90 days and post-Christmas, they are usually fine with it (ASANTS) since hours tend go down in January.
People who do educational LOA at my store usually work spring break, summer, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, December, and maybe New Year. Like Fyi's store, my store just brings people in and out of educational LOA based on the dates communicated and agreed upon.
