With all the money they invested and are continuing to invest in pushers to reduce payroll spent on zoning, I can absolutely see them doing this to reduce the payroll spent on pricing, pog, and ad setup and takedown.
 
Kohl's already does something like this, I feel like it might be beneficial for softlines, but the prices are already printed on the tags (on some brands), so people can't "lie" about what price they saw it under.
 
I can easily see an entire shelf of those being destroyed/worthless/cracked within a couple weeks of being rolled out.
 
Considering our E2E people don't even print shelf labels when they sloppily flex all over the place electronic shelf labels will be even more of a nightmare.
