1000+ orders has been much smoother than 800 at least so far because we actually have the hours to throw 20+ people per day into the fire. lol...
You guys are so lucky I think we are at 8 people right now who just do flexible fulliment and maybe another 8 who are cross trained so they do split shifts... the main problem is all the new hires quit... guess it's a lot of information being thrown at them in two days of training

Nah, we just literally spent the last 4 months playing catch up. It's about time they actually let us schedule enough people :< it was so frustrating coming into 65 batches and 200 packs and leaving half of that for the next day.

First day of the new limit went smoothly. I estimate 85-95 orders came through with another 60+ Due Tomorrow orders. All orders were picked though I think the packer left two Due Tomorrow carts to be packed.

you will be screwed if guests come in and buy up all the deals that the system sent you orders for.
Is it just me or does anyone else think this is backwards thinking? Don't we want the guests who shop in-store to hold priority over guests at home?
I hope this situation is prevented by limiting the online orders for BlackFriday deals so we actually have merchandise for all the people lined up outside.

Though seeing how myself and three others will be picking batches three hours before our doors open... yeeeeeeeeah we'll see about having invo being left for the folks camping outside.

ikr. It's gonna be great tho. No guest interruptions. So much work getting done faster

I did the FF last thanksgiving and I was putting stuff on hold that we only had 1-4 total. I asked if I could cancel and save for the in store shoppers and my boss said no.

I have heard that "they" will be monitoring orders for popular items, and limiting/disabling orders on the fly. But I have seen a dozen different orders for the same item drop in at once, and I have my doubts that they will be able to do anything in time.

I work a 7 hour shift today and probably spent 2 hours "shopping" for people. FF is a joke. Half of the orders had to be deleted/cancelled. Why do these people pick my turd of a Target store to pick up this crap? Go somewhere else. I spent the first 50 minutes of my shift today pulling FF. On Saturday, I had one order that had 25 items in it. People are lazy. Do your own damn shopping.

Well I don't think the order increase went that good at my store because they switched my shift from 6am tomorrow to a split shift.... so 4am to 12 and then come back to work overnight should be fun picking with no guests

I remember Thanksgiving 2013's Flexible Fufillments were a mess and a pain in the butt to do. I walked into 100+ orders to pull, in addition to 50-75 more dropping. What made it even more hilarious, is that I had to stop Guests from taking merchandise from my 2 tier cart. *Smack! Hands off* LOL.

I took off for last years night, so I can't comment. This year, we have more people trained for Flex and SFS, so this will be interesting.

My STL doesn't want us cancelling anymore orders without checking all locations and letting him or the LOD confirming.

Lets have some fun.

Walked in to 35 orders this morning, and more dropping by the minute. After 6 hours, there were 23 still to be picked. We really need at least 2 people designated for FF at a time. Overnight needs to start helping out as well.

We actually had a good day at 300. Everybody showed up and nobody got pulled. And we almost filled up the UPS trailer. We're gonna be screwed if they don't drop off a bigger one this Friday for the first full weekend at the new cap.

We haven't hit our cap yet, both days I've come in to about 100 orders. We've been working the due tomorrows to make sure we don't get swamped the next day. Scheduling is a little overkill, 4 people for full shifts, all overlapping 10am-12pm. Between yesterday and today we had 6 full pallets of boxes.

Smh my store is must really be backed up with the 900 orders cap they asked me to come in overnight tonight instead of tomorrow

2nd day with our order cap increase to 175 and it went very well. Can't tell how many orders came through since another TM was batching with me. End of the day Manhattan showed us at 180 processed orders (including Due Tomorrow orders we managed to pack). Taking into account cancelled items we definitely had 200+ orders in total. Five tall pallets and two filled, chrome racks. ETL-Log said they made UPS aware of our surge in orders so they arrive prepared. They come at 5pm and I left hours beforehand so I hope the truck was big enough today...

Well my store added an ETL ESFS yesterday for 4the quarter so now we have a TL and an ETL. The overnight process was fun we finished all the batches that were due yesterday and started on the due today. The STL even bought us some food..:). When we left at 7am we ended up packing 400 something orders with 6 people..and the DTL said he wants us to pack 700 more by 4:30. Hopefully the day team can do it.

Third day in and it was heavily dysfunctional. Didn't get a head start on Due Tomrrow orders. Behind on picking Today orders since one picker refused to refer Guests to other TMs. Everything from pulling items from the back to doing a carry-out. Then became overly sensitive while trying to fix an error they clearly caused; forgot to include an item in a container. Me trying to understand where the package could possibly be and who packed it is apparently deciding who the "fall guy" is. Another TM clearly didn't want to be bothered with SFS. Deviated from instruction to the point I had an ETL address said TM a few times.

I kept that packing area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies and now it's turning into a mess. They're packing softlines without prep bags. Insufficient cushioning. I saw one put Merona boots in a Poly Bag... How is that going to survive transit. If I correct/suggest the right way it's brushed off. Any qualms I have I take straight to leadership at this point since the way I address a problem is viewed as me overstepping my position. Sure do miss working this area in solitude and green across the board.
