Archived Gift cards

It seems to me that the Gift cards we sell aren't as creative as they once were.
Not only do they seem less creative, they aren't introducing very many new cards.

Is it me....or have others of you noticed this....

I do like the airplane gift card. Located in the greeting cards section. Multi card pack located in sporting goods is nice too.

I like the little monster ones where the arms move, and the cupcake ones that smell like vanilla!

I've noticed they're not as creative as they once were.
I mean, who else had a digital camera that was a gift card?! Or a hand-crank flashlight? A card backer embedded with flower seeds? A tiny RC shopping cart? A squirt gun? A box of Legos?
I loved the one with the fly's eyes, the sock monkey with a place for your fingers, the flicker cards (images that changed when you wiggled them back & forth).
Haven't seen too many of that creative style.

I still have the Transformers one, a few of the Darth Vader ones that lit up and made noise, and I used to have the MP3 player when it came out.

One of my favorite "thank-you" gift cards was one that had a monkey on it and the monkey was holding a bunch of bananas....the card said "thanks a bunch!" And the bananas had a banana scent.

I miss the ones we'd have in the winter that would smell like candy canes.....they had some fun ones.


Yes, I miss the flicker cards, too.

Sure did love those cupcake GiftCards. Always had to take a whiff!
