Hello! I was just hired on as a GSTL with my orientation at 1pm today, looking forward to that. Then it seems I'll be shipped off to another store a couple hours away for a week-long training. Hopefully get the ball rolling here, and I look forward to hanging out around this forum a bit when I'm not at work!

Welcome to The Break Room! You'll learn a lot from your training, but that's not everything you'll need to know. Your store may do things differently from your training store, so learn from your team as well - your peers, your GSAs, and even your cashiers and cart attendants.

Good luck! GSTL is a very challenging job. You will be treated poorly by guests, and expected to be positive at all times and push red cards like youre a drug dealer. However, it can be very rewarding. You can see the best in people and make someone's day 🙂. Just keep in mind that you should stay positive because people can be mean and not think about the impact of their words. You WILL have mean guests, just brush them off and stay positive. Have I mentioned staying positive yet?
