Had an interview today at Macy's, was hired on spot for sales associate position. Scheduled for training tomorrow. Does that mean I'm hired. Does the sales associate position require a criminal background check, or only the other positions?

But, to offer reconciliation, generally if you have a training shift, you are hired. I hate to sound like an arse but I thought you might be trolling us or something lol

Most retailers will hire you conditionally upon a background check and drug test (if required).

I heard Macy's is a very hard retail quota environment.
