I'm not going to be in here anymore as I've cut my ties with the organization.

I do NOT that to be taken negatively. I simply crossed a line in feeling empathy when my mission was to quantify and consider means to enrich the climate.

I found such extreme negativity, both in feedback to me as an individual seeking to bridge a gap, as well as what I've seen on sight.

Things change constantly in large organizations. Please keep focused on your goal, your strategy. This isn't your life, it's a job, which is PART of your life, not the whole of your life.

Target offers so much more than what meets the eye but I'm not oblivious to the cliques and such. They seem to be real. I don't think my report of such was taken fondly.

I do, however, encourage you to be responsible. Take advantage of all Target offers. Be proud to be a part of Target. You SHOULD be!

Look at all that Target offers (that they never elaborate on) like the 401K and the Credit Union. Where else do you get that at 18 years of age?

The world is your oyster and YOU are the Pearl.

Be the best at EVERYTHING you do and be proud of yourself, proud of your company, and KNOW every single day when you clock out YOU did the DAMN best you could and hold your head up.

You've earned it.

Like... I get the following points, but rebut them with the points that follow:
  • We shouldn't be so negative
  • We should be appreciative of the jobs we have, because you know, it's a job, it pays the bills, roof over head, etc.
  • We should take pride in our work

However...
  • We aren't necessarily super negative. The forum exists to vent our frustrations. I think, for the most part, we like our jobs, which is why those of us who've stayed haven't left. But this forum exists for the purpose of discussing things, especially those things we can't just dump on our leadership. This was not the place to come find "OMG totes love the way we do things at my store! <3" and the feedback that is presented here, albeit raw and unedited, and sometimes downright rude, is honest. We really do fucking hate some aspects of the things corporate pushes down.
  • We are appreciative of the fact we're employed, but it's normal for frustrations to come out and for us to hope things change when they're going wrong. No one listens.
  • We do. Those of us who love what we do make it show.

Maybe OP still trolls around here anonymously even if not with Spot anymore.
