Negatives
  • Caused our DU time to go red and stay red because Starbucks turned down the ringer which also turns down the notification. They used to just restart the device
  • Had to go to Reddit to figure out how to decline the current call
  • Rings in the Notification Center
  • Have to expand the notification to see the caller ID
  • Anytime you decline a call it opens the phone app
  • You have to touch the screen to decline the call. The power button doesn’t work anymore
  • Missing the ability to transfer to 2283, 2284, 2285
  • Also can’t transfer to anything not in the contacts/directory
Positives
  • You can see what department they are calling for
  • Has a list of nearby stores to call
  • Says “incoming call” when no one answers it and comes back to you
  • Extensions are now locked to the device (I think)
  • Impossible to mess up a transfer to 228X (0-2)
  • Has a notification, like the support tab in MyDay does, when a call is on hold
  • Will show if corporate is calling you VS a guest (I think. If anyone has the ability to take a picture please do so). Also I hope it shows that another store is calling vs the default caller ID for other stores.
 
Con: Somehow guests have the ability to designate a leader to call. Annoying as hell trying to unload a truck and guests are calling.
That happened with the old system. It’s well documented on Reddit and here what to do to get a leader. Although if your team keeps transferring calls to a leader that’s something. Maybe ask the CSC what’s going on

I'm curious the need for this, I feel like generally we'd only need to park.

Yeah, this isn't a new thing. Nothing changed with how the calls are routed into the store. Though I can understand the frustration.
 
They mean add a 9, you'd dial the 1 regardless, do not add an extra 1, and accidentally dial 911. This has happened multiple times at my store.
