I have been dealing with some drama with the always wonderful FF lately. I was recently warned that I would be written up if one more FF was late. I was unjustly and wrongly held responsible for two FF being late a couple of weeks ago. I believe it was the week of tax free weekend. All that week I was slammed with huge CAF pulls. I remember even on weekdays that I had some that took me 50 to 55 minutes. On a weekday. Yes a weekday. How can I do an FF if I only have 10 to 5 minutes to spare in between CAF pulls?

Here are some of my questions:
1. Should there be a limit of one person in FF when pulling it? That means when a person gets into FF and pulls it, only one person is in it. I've had instances in which FF goes haywire if more than 1 person is in it.
I had an epic fail with that a couple of weeks ago. I had pulled all of the items for FF and I believe it was for 2 orders. I was doing the hold and when you are doing the hold, it has the order number on the left and the QTY on the right on the PDA screen. Every time you scan an item, the quantity decreases by one.
Okay, I'm getting to the good part. I had everything scanned into the hold but it wasn't completed. The QTY was blank and I tried to scan something to maybe trick it but no dice. Every time I scanned it, it said "another team member is working on this". I basically got screwed because of someone else.
Tried to explain to a bully TL and nope, I was according to the bully TL script, the guilty party.
Bottom line: only one person should be in it.
2. Aren't you suppose to get 60 minutes to do this crap? I had an order pop in at around 5pm the other day and it said it was due at 536pm. The kicker is that I checked FF at 438pm and 459pm and nothing was there.
I basically got screwed out of 24 minutes. And of course, this order was gigantic. Seriously, there should be an item limit. 5 items should be the limit. If you are getting boxes of Kleenex and paper towels on FF, you need to be slapped. Get off your butt and get your own crap. I am not your personal shopper. I can't stand lazy people.
3. Once you are pulling items in FF, can you get out of FF and get back in it without screwing it up?
Let's say that some silly guest wants you do to an item search, can you toggle into item search and then go back to FF? I never toggle out of FF once I'm in it. Once I'm in FF, I stay in it until it's finished.

You might want to do this.
Stay calm. Communicate early to your Lod or tl, that you need help in pulling cafs & FF, before the deadlines. You might want to try get some additional training on FF. So that, you are showing to your leadership, that you trying to improve your times. Stay focus on your job. Complaining about process or others, creates a negative impact & a time waster. Be proactive, figure out a solution make the process move faster. Always ask questions.

1. Only one person should be allowed in an order at a time. I think you can suspend, then someone else can get in. But you can't get back in if they're in it.
2. Not sure in the time limit. It seems to vary. I doubt it's based on location, but I guess it could be.
3. Yes, toggle out or suspend it. I do this when I'm pulling CAFs and one drops. I check it to see if there are BR locations so I can pick while I pull. I need an Xzibit meme.

For the "Pay Online, Pick up in store process" the order drops five minutes after the order is placed (the guest specifies your store) so you have 55 minutes from the time the order drops to fulfill it. Are you alerted via the LPDA to the order? Before my store became a pilot for Ship from Store, both the LOD, myself (BRTL) and the fulfillment TM would be logged in as a "Fulfillment TM" and would receive alerts. If one didn't get it, another person did. Maybe having more than one person logged in at a time might be the answer to the timing thing. You should also be checking at least every 30 minutes so the picks don't lapse.

Yes, you can toggle out of it. Best is to suspend the order though, you can get back into it once you are finished with the task. Much like the CAFs, though, the clock is still ticking whether you are in the batch or not. And konk is correct, once you are in the pick, no one else can enter into it unless it is suspended.

I do agree there needs to be a limit... I recently had to do a GPU with at least 50-60 boxes of tampons of varying shapes and sizes, and I've seen orders where the guest is essentially treating us like Peapod and having us do their shopping for them. I can only imagine what Q4 will be like.

1. Yes, so that multiple people arnt running around on the same order.
2. If it pops in and gives you 5 mins to pull it, then you better pull it within that 5 mins or it will knock score and you will knocked outside your head.
3. Please see konk;s post.
