the system now is a joke they wont even tell you whats allowed or not. Just "dont have a trend" whatever that even means. how can you even have a trend with supposedly 2 allowed per 6 months.
Last thing I understood was you're allowed "2-3" incidents per 6 months. that could be out of date idk, they dont like you asking and wont give a clear answer. Does that mean 2 or 3? It's whatever your OM feels like! That's ridiculously low IMO. Six months? Of course, they routinely let some TM get away with murder while holding the reliable ones feet to the fire. It's the old target story, set something WAY too strict (prod or reliability standard) surprise, nobody hits it, so they dont enforce it on anybody. it's like they wish by making a standard they can wish it into existence. "if we set the expectation at 200% of current, well we'll be counting money!"
The only thing that made a little sense is afaik the old system was "3" per 6 months (except the time they lied to everybody and said it was 30 days not six months, then wrote people up for believing them), but your OM has leeway, or something every 6 months. And it made some sense to me they tightened it because now there is sick pay.
I would welcome some kind of clear points system but doubt they would ever implement since it would mean they couldn't coddle some.
a points system if done right could also get rid of the issue of "1 minute late counts the same as a 12hr call off" since they're both 1 incident. At least that's what everyone says AFAIK. That's obviously dumb. altho now that you can cover a minute with sick time maybe thats effectively already fixed.
