So, I made the mistake of not asking for a day off in time, and surprise! I got scheduled. I know this is 100% my own doing, but I simply cannot work this day.
Anyways, when I saw I was on the scheduled I put it on the swap shift board, but it's going to take a freaking miracle. It's a Saturday, ad take down shift and I went through and couldn't find a single person who was available, not a minor, or trained to do it. So I'm pretty SOL, but i'm already feeling guilty leaving them short handed. I asked my HR person what I should do and she just told me to ask around and if I can't find someone I'd have to call out.
So, that's it? She didn't seem mad or anything (probably because she doesn't close that night!). Will the fact my name is on the swap sheet cause any problems calling in?
Oh! And if it's matters this will be my 2nd call out, the 1st was like 9 months ago, so I don't usually call out. What's target's attendance policy?
Thanks guys. 🙂
