I guess if they ENFORCE rules it should be ok. At walmart we are only allowing it on certin items but given our store was bulit AFTER they got rid of the old layway we have no space unless we placed them in the trailers in back

I don't know about other stores, but my store does not do 24-hour holds at all during the holiday season. We don't have space for holds, let alone layaway.

sorry i actually did not think of that when i posted the comment...(holiday season)
but yes during the holidays we do not for no reason hold any hot toy or game,elec. items or gaming system for a guest unless we have like 500 of that particular item
