Is there a certain time before a game launches that the preorder cards are supposed to get taken down and/or are no longer offered? Or can guests preorder all the way up until launch?

One week prior to launch the cards are to be removed from the sales floor.

Yes, usually a week. Some that I scan will come up as a MIR #XXXX so its on a MIR for Reverse to take care of. Though sometimes it doesn't happen.

A week prior from the sell date, it says on the back of the cards. I usually group them up and leave them at the boat, since they tend to drop
MIRs for the old cards.

If the video game revisions are done correctly the pre-order cards will removed from the floor on the previous week's revisions (occassionally outdated ones will stay on the pog). Some never go MIR so I hand them off to reverse logistics to be taken care of.
