Well-being Time is used as a substitute for scheduled work hours when work schedules conflict with well-being efforts.
The Time Off Guide lists three types of well-being efforts:
- "Health well-being for personal preventive health care visits."
- "Financial well-being, such as meeting with a licensed financial advisor."
- "Community well-being, such as volunteer activities, unless the activity is a Target-led event for which the team member is already being paid regular wages."
A lot of stores don't check to see if you actually use it for these reasons and will just approve it up to your average hours.
You can use well-being hours by submitting a Paid Time Off Request on EHR (the same one you fill out to use vacation time or personal holiday time).
You use it like vacation, through EHR. This is a tricky time to use it because most people are working at or above their average hours this time of year.
