Just started instocks. What kind of info does the team want to hear from me during the huddles? They go around the group and I never have anything to say. Others in instocks say something about an aisle being messy or watching for this or that. I have no idea what to mention. Will this come with me getting more experience?

Also, I know what rigs are and have been doing those, but what are mrp's/mpr/rpm. Not even sure of the correct term. What does it mean? What needs to be done? What do I watch for? Overwhelmed on my third full day with all the Target lingo that people use and feel foolish constantly asking. Many times they answer with even more Target lingo.

Hammer how important a good zone is and makes everybody's job easier, and the guests happier. Moving everything to the front is only part of a zone. You also need to make sure the product is in it's correct spot. When I did Instocks, it was annoying to spend a good amount of time just rezoning an aisle.

At first it's a good bet to keep your head down but as you get used to the job showing recognizing folks who have done good work or helped you out by writing them a card (whatever they call them these days) is always a good way to go.

they are "because of you" cards.

they are "because of you" cards.

I didn't think they could get worse than Vibe cards but somehow they did.
Still the point is solid.
Back when they were called Great Team Cards I would pass out one or two at every huddle because there is always someone who gave you hand or was supportive when you needed it.
People deserve to be told they rock.

lol @ vib cards...

Lordy! Just give me raise already!!!

My instocks tl says where the team is that morning. The tms normally just say good morning like everyone else. Most of the team doesn't say more than good morning at huddle.

I've had huddle every closing shift I've had as well as the times I've worked during the days on "Tech Tuesdays". There's only been one time when we didn't have huddle and that was because it had been held earlier than normal so some of the closing team, including myself, hadn't been there yet. I've never recognized anyone during huddle, ever, even though I get recognized sometimes. 😳 I'm shy enough as it is and would probably just look silly, especially if I messed up the team member's name (even though I probably wouldn't). I've written a VIBE card once though. 😛 I spent ten minutes making sure I spelt her name right and finally looked her up on Facebook since we're friends on there just to make sure everything was correct. LOL I have no problem talking to guests because half the time I won't see them again so it's not as scary as saying something silly in front of the people I see every day. Also I work at a high-volume store so that could be why we have huddle so often, maybe? I'm not sure.

@Lmf, if you're not sure what to say, find an area with a good zone and recognize whoever was in that area the previous night. Then explain how having a well-zoned department leads to more accurate instocks.

I think this is how it should be. My store is an A-volume and I have been there 14 months. I mostly close and when we even have a huddle, its in the morning. I've been to a grand total of 3 that I can remember.

I'm a HL/SFS TM and I normally am quiet during huddles. I would recognize the TM's or leadership when they helped me and my SFS captain with SFS over the holidays because it was insane lol.

Accurate In Stocks? Lol! With the 4x4 process we are being the maid service of the store. And they expect us to scan after the 4x4. We find their zone is "made it pretty" but accurate? No.

Dog biscuits in the cover girl aisle? Pull it forward and move on...makes me want to cut someone.

I would suggest not wasting time with huddles. They're usually just ego stroking or broad, poor planning
