Archived What's coaching? Was I coached today or was just told not to do it again? What the hell happened?

They are not going dig for info that could get them fined. If you're like 10 mins into compliance, don't clock out for lunch and clock back in at a time where making a punch for 30min before will keep you safe.

They ETLs will simply look at it as another PC. Not a big deal unless you are doing it everyday in which case you're going to get fired anyway.

You will get busted at my store for that.

I hit compliance once. But then I did a punch correction to avoid which seems to be something no one here does

We had two TL fired for doing that very thing.
Granted they did it a number of times but they were fired for faking documents.
The crappy part is they were both really popular, hard working guys who only did it because they were asked to do things during or just before their lunches and wouldn't just walk away from people.

So yeah, do it once, you'll probably get away with it.
Do it again, you will get caught.

I asked if I could do that when they gave me the paper to sign. I thought it was a good idea, but you should have seen tHEM! Both HR ETL ETL and STL snapped their necks at the same time sO fast and just stared at me . Then STL said "I am goiNG to pretend I didnt hear that"
I live in fear of hitting compliance. It was quite humiliating

Yea missing lunches might be the only way to get fired at a Target. They definitely don't let anyone go for lack of effort

My team lead told me in training that it costs the store about $1,000 in fines if you hit compliance. Varies by state. My store yells if you don't take your 30 after 4 hours of work.

My store is notorious for compliance(we usually average about 5-11 a week). Originally my ETL-HR offered a dunkin doughnuts party for a month of no compliance. That was then changed to a week of no compliance.

We have yet to have that doughnut party.

My understanding is that the store is fined by the state for "not offering" a timely (i.e. before 6 hours) lunch, and if you hit compliance, the document you have to sign is basically a waiver to cover Target's ass. But then again, I only hit compliance once and never heard about it again after it happened, so what the hell do I know?

By even uttering such a suggestion, they may be suspicious the next time you do a punch correction.
