Hi everyone, I'm new to the Break Room. I've been with Target for 10 months and things are good. I haven't had any issues or problems and I love the people I work with. During my review yesterday, the report was accurate but at the end, it reported that I had 9 call-outs or absences! I was floored because I've only called out 1 time. I explained this to the supervisor and he said he'd look into it. How can there be such a huge discrepancy? I have been at every scheduled shift including additional ones when others have called out and I always volunteer to stay longer if someone else cannot make it in. I've been there on time even throughout this crazy snowy winter. Anyway, is there any thing I can do to prove that this is incorrect? I'm quite upset about this. I'm sorry about the rant...I appreciate your time and any advice!

Have you posted any shifts on the swap shift board?
- The shifts may have been covered but not approved.
- Have there been any times where your stores time clock was down.

The clocks were down one time and was fixed by me entering the info onto the time card on line. That was approved. I've only posted 2 swap shifts and I know who came in and worked them. As far as being approved, I guess I assumed they were all set. The review had 0 no call/no show, which is correct. This is saying that I have actually called in when I haven't. Could this be someone else's info in my review? Who do you suggest I speak with? If I log on to HR, is there any way to prove otherwise? Thanks...

Has anyone ever had incorrect info on their review? How does one go about resolving the problem?

I had the wrong title on mine. I was a Photo Lab TM and they had me as Guest Service TM. They didn't care.

My review said I didn't give enough great guest service. I was the friendliest person there, and had positive comments to my supervisors and comment cards daily.

My review said I needed to focus on getting more redcards, despite me having the highest number of applications each month.

Reviews are a sham.

Hate to say but you're pretty much stuck with it.
You can fight it.
I would if you're certain they made a mistake and can prove it, differently do that.
But the sad thing is the odds on them changing your evaluation are slim to none.

They planned on giving you that score from the beginning and would have found a reason to even if you'd had perfect attendance.

That sucks....I just not want to get fired/reprimanded because of excessive absences when I have only had one. I hope there is something on EHR that shows the correct info. This is very frustrating.

Now I'm wondering if I got paid for the 8 days that they claim I was absent....I think I need to go and speak with someone there. I hope it won't be like speaking to a wall.

Well, I went to speak with our HR guy, who is a really nice and approachable person, and he said he was sorry about that and it has been fixed! He confirmed 1 absence and that another employees' report got mixed in with mine. I'm glad that is over with.

Glad to hear that it got fixed.

Someone I work with got a bad review because of absences. He's never called out, not once! They were counting the times he was scheduled against his availability. Every time it happened he made the HR-ETL aware of it. The only way he got it straightened out was by going to the STL. It didn't change his raise though.

Often times it happens when people swap shifts, it gets approved, but the ETL/TL never keys it into the system. It will show up in the system as an absence, and when HR does absence reclassification, they mark it absent as opposed to NCNS.

But like someone else said, they decide what review/raise they're going to give you before they look at each specific category. Once it's decided, they then use the categories to justify the overall review. That's why so many people would be given IE's or E's for things like writing great team cards. It was an easy thing to mark people down for that didn't directly insult their level of competence.
