Front end is constantly getting screwed over because they take our people to do OPU and DU. Which means floor people get called for backup all the time. But then we see managers doing grunt work and fulfillment, etc, and I'm like. Wow. Things really ARE bad.

Sadly they are probably correct. Didn't the beer company (I forget which one) flip flop and then lost both sides?

Oh yeah I agree. I was doing it for a while and people thanked me for a while. It gave me a good excuse for the pinpad screen being dogshit too. I'd just say "oh, we've had to use some strong cleaners to make sure it's safe to touch these, it's messing with the touchscreen." I'm not entirely...

It isn't looking too bad right now because ETLs are even doing lots of floor and OPU stuff, but I wonder how long it'll last before even that can't save the lack of payroll.

This is the problem. OPU is resurrected Jesus Christ at this point, and the rest of the store merely peons that exist to support it. The front end gets robbed to help OPU. The floor gets robbed to help the front end. The shit doesn't get done. We all hear about it later.

I don't expect 100%. I expect to have more than 1 or 2 people on register because we've been robbed of everyone else. They're cutting into bone here, the hours simply aren't enough for any amount of reasonable work and people are only going to power through so long.

Yeah that's what puzzles me. Do they put it on the application? There's something rotten when they're always a problem to deal with. I'd rather deal with most other managers than our HR ETL

We never keep HR tms long, though at my store it's because they have a tendency to hire utter witches for the role of HR ETL. I've never had an HR ETL that wasn't an asshole.

Don't talk such rot, the stores can make do without! In fact we should cut the hours MORE! /s
