Guest service hanging style quarantine returns

Time to wipe away the tears, put on your adult underwear and do the job you've been told to do. Don't like the job? Quit.

Answered I was let go due to attendance. How long do I have to wait to apply at another local Target?

You never know. Although this is not at Target, I've seen somebody fired for multiple AWOLs, apply in the next round of hiring and get hired into the same position. Then they started the AWOL scenario all over again. Crazy stuff.

$15 minimum wage and $200 bonus recognition for work during pandemic

How can they pay the bonus for working "through the pandemic" when the pandemic is still going on? Who at Target is seeing the future and predicting an end to it once July is over?

    Corporate $15

Working "through" the pandemic? Then when would they pay the bonus? The pandemic is STILL going on and there is not an end in sight yet.

    Corona strike??

Unions aren't the solutions to all you woes, and that is coming from a union steward. My BUEs think that we are there to make their problems go away, or make disciplinary actions go away. We are there to police the contract and bring new members in, because we are only as strong as our...

    Corona strike??

Even if you are unionized, participating in a "sick-out" is an easy way to get fired. When a large percentage of your work force all call in on ONE day, it's pretty obvious. My advice: don't do it. Remember how hard it is to get through on unemployment lines. Then again, this could be...

    Corona strike??

Target employees can't strike - you have no union. You can walk out, or not come to work, and be fired.

    What is CSH?

<C>hasing <S>treet <H>os. Depending on your view it could be good or bad. Your call. Either way, Target is paying you to do it.

COVID-19 During emergency, suspend the price-match policy, and other suggestions

Federal government agencies are suspending things - their employee's rights. Very aggravating.

Is it possible to win an age discrimanation suit ?

You'll have to have solid evidence of the alleged discrimination. Saying "they cut my hours because of my age" is anecdotal. You'll need a lot more than that.

    charging blocks

Ah, but my cellphone doesn't have the 160GB capacity my iPod Classic has, with 18000 songs on it and counting. I will cry the day the battery finally dies in that thing. As for external packs, Anker is what many consider the gold standard. Most long distance hikers I've seen/talked to (like...

COVID-19 Any other stores being cleaned out of cleaning products?

I'm confused. Why would they be "more concerned" because they are Chinese? They aren't in China, and "Chinese" are no more likely to contract this in the US then any other ethnic group.

    Multiple ETLs?

I worked in an AAA volume store - we had 4 ETL-HL and we could hardly keep up.

What do you think will happen when we go to $15 an hour?

Although you sentiment is admired, Target could care less. For everyone that walks away, five people are in the wings waiting to come in. Target knows this.

    Military Veteran Advice Please

As retired military, I would not consider anybody still serving in the Guard/Reserve a "veteran." A "veteran" is somebody who HAS served. A person still doing guard/reserve time is still in the military, thus not truly a "veteran." However, there are legal ramifications if you are hired but...

    W2 showing but....

Federal law requires all employers to send employees W-2 statements no matter how low earnings or wages are. These W-2 statements can be sent in either paper or digital form and must be received by employees no later than January 31 of the following year. If Target does not provide you with...
