Archived cutting hours for flow rant

We are a 4 am store and we don't leave till everything is done, both the floor and back room.... Usually between 11:30-1pm depending in who we have and how big the truck is. Our TL's always say "no overtime" but they will go to bat for us if we have a bad week and a few of us go over.

    Archived Bts!!!

Our BTS is set. We (flow) have a set BYS team consisting of 3-4 TMs that make sure all locs are filled. So far I hasn't been to bad. We start up in stationary and then sort the the 2nd loc BTS stuff out and work that along with seasonal BTS. I asked to do BTS alone or have only a select few help...

    Archived New ETL-logistics (overnight)

I am not a ETL but watching or new one has been an eye opener. Look to your TLs to begin with. Watch how they run the team.... Chances are there will come a day where you will Lead the team alone. Know which TMs you can turn to if you need help. KNOW YOUR WORK LOAD!!! I can't stress that one...

    Archived ipods/ music for flow

In the back room any type of music goes. We usually listen to hard rock, country, and rap depending on who chooses it. On the floor we have the one ear bid rule and some of us use speakers on a low-moderate volume. Depending on who I'm working an isle with I may have my music a little louder...

Archived Lifting the Flow Team's Spirits

Our ETL said if we came clean everyday for a week she'dthrow truck the following week. We've had free stbks, candy, tic-tacs for beating our unload goal time. Had a TL pull me aside and bet the rest of the team a pop that he and I could do all of H&B before they finished grocery. Just keep...

To that one Team Member I - ARCHIVED

To the new guy on flow who obviously has no concept of personal hygiene at all.... We can smell you from 2 isles away and your stench lingers long after you've left. Its giving other tm's headaches and it makes my eyes burn. How you ever made it through the interview is beyond me! Please earn...

Archived Bruises, callouses, and cuts! Oh my!!

We are allowed to wear gloves. One of my TL wears them almost all the time but esp when working the line or doing frozen/dairy. I tried wearing gloves but couldn't get my fingers under the flaps to open the boxes. Maybe if I can find some with thinner fingers it might work. Ive started wearing...

Archived Bruises, callouses, and cuts! Oh my!!

After being a flow tm for a little over a week I've amassed quite a collection of bruises, scratches, cuts ect... LOL BUT I have to say I love it. My team must be an exception to the rule as everyone is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. My TL was impressed that I took the time to...

    Archived Hello everyone!

Thanks! I have so much more respect for cashiers now. It's not as easy as it looks. Luckily I only had a few slip up (produce and cold meds) but did fairly well otherwise. I think my score was in the lower 90's but I've never been in front of a register or handled money before. I'm hoping...
