Hey all,
I’m a Cashier, hired June 9th of this year. I’m 17 years old and still in high school, which restricts scheduling considerably. I turn 18 in September of this year, so it won’t be too long until I’m no longer going to have an “m” next to my name on the roster. Despite my age, I am good...
Let's flip the "Youngest TL/GSA You've Seen?" thread on its head.
I've seen TL's in their 60's, including GSTL's, some who stepped down from the ETL role later in their career.
Just curious what is the oldest GSA you've seen? My store has two part-time GSA's, one male and one female, who are...
What other responsibilities do you do at your store besides running guest service and the front, scheduling, and ordering supplies? My peer has said that she just does those things but I want to go above and beyond than just that. What makes a great gstl?
So as the title states no other TL in the store wants to be me. I am a gstl. I am also a Senior so I have LOD shifts as well ( I don't mind these, they can be interesting).
I always hear TL complain about all their sales planners, workload for seasonal, truck push, stray, zone, among a couple...
Hello out there!
I just accepted a GSTL position, and I'm so excited to get started. I've been an avid Target shopper for decades and have a cousin in corporate and an aunt who retired as a store manager several years ago.
I'm sure a lot of my questions will be answered later this week when I...
Howdy all, A GSTL here. I'm making folders for our lanes. Kinda like a communications thing to help keep all our cashiers in the loop. #nohuddlesforus #FrontEnd
I was looking for suggestions on what to add to these.
So far I havet the following:
General DPC's
Coupon Policy
PriceMatch Policy...
Does anyone else have an incompetent or inefficient TL/GSA??
I have worked at Target for almost a year, and the entire time I've been Guest Service, I feel like I am always picking up slack, not only for other TMs, but my GSA. I work in a very low volume store, so we only have two GSAs (unless...
I'm a GSA at my target. I have a GSTL interview tomorrow and was just wondering if anyone had any advice for the interview. I've had some pretty crappy prep for it and I just need some help going into tomorrow
So I have recently been appointed a TL at my store and am going to be taking over one closing GSTL shift per week outside of the work center I oversee. I'm only getting a couple of hours of training and would like to have a rundown of what I'm supposed to do to close GSTL so that I don't miss...
Hey, I'm a cashier that got hired as seasonal and was kept. I am trained as GS and self checkout along with softlines. During my normal shift I will cashier along with covering breaks at GS SCO cashiers and my GSTLs breaks. I love doing it but I feel used sometimes. Their will often be times...
Curious, I know the no fraternizing in the same workcenter rules, I've heard from other TLs that there's a no hanging out with TMs, but what about TL and other workcenters, including TPS. Can they hang out together? Is there a set rule or is it ASANTS? I know my store is not like any I've been to.
So I have been GSA for about a year now at a C volume store. Our goal is normally between 40-60 and we hardly ever reach it, normally getting in the high 20s- mid 30s. It has become EXTREMELY stressful for myself, the other GSAs and GSTL with the LODS (mainly ETL-GE/SF and STL) up our asses...
What are common scams and what am I allowed to say?
How do you stay on top of the team and push redcards?
Etc....
Just want to make this as fulfilling of a position as possible!
Hey! I've been a GSA for about three months now and (contrary to popular opinion) I love it! I think it's a great starting place for someone like me who really wants to do more with the company and grow into more leadership roles. My only issue is I suck at Red cards. I mean awful. Most nights I...
I want to thank everyone here. I've learned more from you than I've ever learned at work. You guys are great. When I worked my first GSA shift (after 10 min of training) I asked several questions in a panic. Patient breakroom members helped me get through my shift. I love working in front and...
How many GSAs and GSTL's do you guys have in your stores? Do you treat each one the same or do you have more respect for the GSTL as they are labeled "Team Leader" but so pretty much everything a GSA does in retrospect.
In the interest of becoming the best GSA I can, I'd love to hear what you would love to say to or about GSTL/GSAs. Please keep in mind that we already have a thread to gripe about REDCards. Thanks!
I was at work and my GSTL pulled me off the lanes, it was slow and at night, and had me stocking up endcaps and cleaning the belts, since no new team members seems to remember that they're supposed to collect stray and make sure things look somewhat ok... But with all the walking, my locker key...
