It's going to be very interesting. In our store, the TL haven't been doing their SPLNS for awhile. Mainly the team members have been. 2 of our TLs are SrTLs and spend more time covering LOD than anything else. The other is the CTL. Our POGTL has problems getting the current workload done. Unless they give out more hours, he is going to struggle even more with these changes. He's one of those types that tries to follow the adjacency calender to a T, and doesn't understand how a revision in HBA says it should take 20 min, but ends up actually being 2 hours.

I'm questioning myself on whether it's worth it to fight for the position. I want my job because I get paid decently and a lot of vacation each year. I want to keep it until I finish my degree. The thing is this though, do I want to double my workload and get nothing in return? I'm not sure it's worth it, too bad I can't demote and lose a little bit of cash instead of a massive amount.

A few more things I find disturbing are now payroll is calculated by dollars instead of hours (there's always been reports for both). Some of us higher paid TL's will probably be looked at 1st when the time comes to performance someone out.

This is scary for higher paid (and longterm) tms also.

This is going to be very interesting as several TMs at my store were recently signed off to be TLs and are on the bench. I'm wondering if this is some grand plan to performance manage out the higher paid TLs and put these new TMs in place for these TLs.

I feel sorry for the POG TLs...being the signing ninja, I see it already...and it's not going to be pretty, especially at my store.

I'm all for having pog takeover salesplanners. That leaves the salesfloor with much more time to focus on brand, ptm and guest service. I'm pretty stoked thinking of all the time that sales floor will have to reduce A-markdowns through actually being able to PTM, zone, flex, and push. So much time before was spent building salesplanners. I just don't see why the floor needs 5 TLs to accomplish this. I'd think 2-3 tops with more tms.

Not really. There's practically no SF coverage at my store in the morning...just in the late afternoon or evenings...and their focus is zone. Salesfloor in the morning consists of price change, presentation, and flow...POG has taken over SPLNs for the last 2 years.

except that at least with AE10 the demoted specs got to keep their pay, not the team leaders that demote now sadly.

The thing that bugs me about AE10 is that I still get stuff addressed to the "Signing Specialist" or references to it in instructions, etc. If they wanted to take away specialists, then why do they keep using that title?

Out of the 6 TL/TMs we expected to lose, 2 were spared.....THIS time.
Of the 4 we're losing one is promoting, one is retiring & the other 2 will be through attrition.

I think we are org 4 or 5. SuperT. Our STL said we will move to 4am end of year if our sales don't pick up a certain amount.
1 HRTL down. Etl flow now Etl-OPS and takes price change, meaning SL & HL is probably combined. Heard meat & produce TL may be combined. More being kept under wraps until more TLs work tomorrow.

I think as far as the TL thing.. I think spot is betting on people quitting (also another way to get rid of the higher paid TLs). That will open up for the people on the bench...

We are an Org 3 p-fresh. Is the CTL considered in the total SFTL?

My store is now going to be Org 3 Pfresh. We get to keep our CTL plus have 2 HL and 1 SL on the floor. Not sure how my STL pulled that one if we are not supposed to.

Org 3 is entitled to 8 TL. My store will be 2 GSTL, 1 Flow/BR/Instocks, 1 PA/Plano, and 4 "Salesfloor"

It makes sense they are keeping all the SFTL because they'll most likely need to be or become SrTLs in order to run LOD shifts since there will be an ETL cut as well.

Org 2 and above stores will be allocated ETL AP and APTL based on AP metrics.

Ugh I feel bad for people, but also this sucks for me which was trying to get into a TL spot... My store is currently hovering between Org1 and 2... we MAY hit the 23mil mark by feb.. I haven't looked the last few days.. but if not.. we currently have...

4 ETLs (AP is on though, a we're the highest theft store in my area I believe all of Florida..)
but TLs... this is where it would hurt..
we have.. 2GSTLs, 2 Hardlines (one for A, B, C, D) One for Toys/Electronics but also does Food Ave.. a CTL, a Flow TL, a SRTL Pog/Pricing, a SrTL BR, a SrTL Softlines...

I don't understand how from Org Chart 2 to Org Chart 3 you gain 3 more sales floor TLs....
Why couldn't it be TWO sales floor TLs in org chart 2.....

ETL hard lines goes away Etl SL is now sales floor
Etl food ETL consumables are 1 position the other goes away
TL in meat is now TL-MEAT and bakery
HRTL goes away
POG pricing is now 1 TL

POG does all salesplanners, pogs, adjacencies
ETL log is over instocks, pog, pricing and sft

Secondly- I've seen a lot of information about number of Salesfloor TLs... What I would define as Hardlines, Softlines & Consumables. Three questions:

1) Seen a few comments about combining Starbucks/Cafe positions. Are they? In all Org Charts?
2) Or, is the CTL going to own Starbucks, Cafe & Market?
2) Are the Starbucks & Cafe TL positions included in the "Salesfloor TL" headcount? Or are they separate?

Depends on your departments sales volumes. Lower volumes will get get them combined or even lose them, while higher volume ones will keep that distinction.

This really sucks. I don't know what letter my store is, but if we are losing a GSTL. Now I know why she was feeling not good. She maybe out soon. Target is becoming a nightmare.

We only lose one SalesFloor TL thankfully. On the downside, had quite a few openings and all those disappeared. We were close to head count with all our openings so it will just be business as usual. Unfortunately business as usual has been zero 15 min breaks and extremely long days when OT was approved during Q4.

Hello everyone, new poster and CTL here of an Org 1 store moving to Org 2. ULV store.

I have been told my position is being removed. We are over headcount, and are going from 12 TLs to 8.

I could not be less happy about this. Quick personal story: I worked my way up from Flow to CTL in a span of 2 years, and now hearing that all the hard work I've put in to make something of myself is all for naught is personally devastating.

Essentially, the writing is on the wall: 4 SrTLs, with one SrGSTL. They've completely removed the GSTL position in my store. I have no idea what to do next.

Gray, your position will be eliminated by attrition most likely. Your position won't be eliminated until you go somewhere else. Unless your store decides to be cutthroat about it.
