I set amplified gifting today in my store (the vmg said not to but my leaders never go by the rules.) I was just wondering if anyone had set theirs yet and what that process looked like. How many people help? How long did it take? I was completely on my own with setting it until an hour until I left. Luckily our POG team built the fixtures last week. I just have a senior team lead up my butt (because nothing I ever do is good enough for her) so I’m just curious to see if I’m in the wrong for not being able to complete it totally by myself in 8 hours.

According to my PTL, there are not supposed to be price labels. The locations make no sense for a reason: because it's supposed to be set according to the visual adjacency. It is the duty of plano/signing to build the Amplified Gifting shippers and overheads, and it is the duty of the VM team and A&A team to set the product. Read the November Q4 guide for details on this, it's very explicit.

Which parts did you build?

There's the Large Pill Feast Table which IIRC can set any time from when you got it to the end of this week, Kid/Kid at Heart Sleep which is supposed to set this week but only starting tomorrow, and the four convertibles which I don't recall the names of.

They built all 6 fixtures. Two big tables and 4 convertibles. They also built the one that sets Nov Week 2 in RTW. I pushed them all out (they are beasts!) and got all the rack alignment fixed, which was a task because nothing is to adjacency. Then I printed all the labels. It took me a really long time so my POG team stepped in to help me put all the hangers and shelves on them and then do the pulls. I just don’t see how one person is supposed to all of it in 8 hours. Maybe I’m just bad at my job lol

Our signing tm took two days to build everything, but he’s new and our ETL HR was helping push with a soft lines tm today, and they still haven’t finished. We have a visit tomorrow so we did everything early. For you to get it done in 8 hours is beast!

Oh it’s definitely not done yet, but I’ll be finishing it in the morning. We don’t even have most of the stuff for them. I was just under the impression that I was supposed to have a team help me and that this was a huge deal. I questioned why I didn’t have any help all day and the two team leads there told me they “never get any help” and “you just have to do it on your own so you’ll learn”.

Yeah, the Nov Week 2 is the Style Maven.

When you say 8 hours, it is entirely possible to build them all in 8 hours. Took me around two hours apiece for the two big tables (not the Nov Week 2 RTW one), and maybe 45 minutes for a convertible, but I wasn't in the right frame of mind that day, so I was slow for the convertible. Probably could trim the timing on it to half an hour.

I’m just wondering how long it is supposed to take to set the fixtures in place and set the product/labels. They built them a few days ago. It took them about 4 hours or so. 4 of them worked on it.

My ETLs want everything set now, even nov week 2. They read the Q-4 guide and are doing the almost exact opposite of what it says to do. Such is my life at target.

A former signing specialist and I are building the shippers. We're in remodel and the store leadership had us help plano during this week. We finished the 4 convertibles in 2 1/2 hours yesterday. Then spent the last 30 mins or so started one of the tables. We have 3. This morning, I mostly built what we started on yesterday. He started on another one but kept getting called elsewhere. We finished the one I was building before 8. I started on the one he started and he started on the last one. It took us from 8 till we went home and still hadn't finished. I got the complicated one (to me it seems like it was complicated), the one with the shipper on the bottom and convertible-like on the top. It was my first time to build any shippers.

This Christmas has been a fucking nightmare... Not getting the trailer I was told we were getting is probably going to mean we won't finish the week. I could have had almost everything build right now, but instead I had to tap my foot, because there is literally no room in my store. (I am livid about this)

I had to "Steal", Steel space in Pets bulk, just in order to store all my signing. Still have 4 free standing Ornament Bins, Rear Seasonal CSEs/Overheads, Rock tree table, and Tree Display tables to go, with two nights to finish. We also have about 100 feet of Halloween costumes left (25, 4' sections filled).

The good news, Hearth and home is looking fucking legit so far... I wonder how long those fixtures will stay there though.

Taking two days to build all this is very believable, the time it said it would take to build all of it was around ~40 hours, I believe. A lot of store have different sets, some with more or less fixtures so I am not sure.

three of us got the fixtures done in less than 8hrs. Dayside did the pull. Etl remodel printed labels and pushed/ set most between other tasks in lead than 8hrs. I'm guessing the actual vml spent her day fluffing it though...

I must have read something different. For the amplified gifting we were supposed to print labels on white label paper. We did go by the vmg and it took about 16hrs to put them where they go, set and fill all of the ones for this week. Our signing team member built them. Now for Hearth and Hand I read there are no labels.
