Audit will only change the on-hands if there is no stockroom location for the item or the quantity you tell it disagrees with the on-hands and backroom quantity.
Examples: 8 on-hand but none on the sales floor and no stockroom location. Auditing to 0 will change all quantities to 0.
8 on-hand, 4 in-back, 0 on the shelf, auditing to 0 will create an OOS batch for that item, but the on-hand count will still be 8.
3 on-hand, 3 in-back, 4 on floor. Verifying the floor count to 4 should increase the on-hand count to 7.
Have to be careful using audit to not 0 out items that are on hand but just not located in the back.
