Archived Availability Change because Target wasn't scheduling anyway

Since February, I've gone from working 38 hours a week to 11.

I went from working consistent 4 and 5am shifts to working shifts that are all over the place.

Because my hours have been cut so drastically with no chance of getting more hours (Kronos doesn't work on my phone and ETL-HR will not give me more hours), I've had to start searching for another job. I am prepared to leave Target if a job opportunity comes around.

At the same time, while I search for a new job, the severe lack of hours I have been given is forcing me to take on temporary/part-time work.

I've started taking on additional work during times I have not been working. As I am past my 90 days, I've gone through multiple times to make sure my availability matches the hours Target was giving me before (I have never worked past 4pm in the past 3 months. Wouldn't it make sense that my schedule outside of work would reflect that?)

Not only is Target auto-denying my schedule changes, they are giving me hours that I have NEVER been available to work. I already told the ETL-HR that I needed to take on a second job when he told me that I was not getting more hours.

I am getting really fed up with Target. Not only are they not giving me enough hours to pay my bills, etc., but the schedules they are giving me is making it impossible for me to take on the occasional babysitting job or apply for some part-time, temp work so I can make ends meet while I look for something full-time. They may only schedule me for 5 hours some weeks, but they have to own me the entire time whether they are paying me or not.

Talk to your ETL directly (or whoever makes your schedule). Fill out a paper availability form. MyTime Self Service is not that great from a supervisor position. I've been in my role for nearly a year and I still don't get about half of all requests from my team. They get re-routed to a TL that's not in my department anymore.

If your requests are being auto-denied that means the system denied it because it wasn't approved inside a certain timeframe. So either your ETL didn't see it (see above) or they saw it and didn't take any action. Either way it's best to talk to them in person and tell them everything you posted above.

This issue can be fixed easily as long as you find someone who has admin ability (try HR). They can control who sees what kind of requests from which area. Ask them to modify approvers in MyTime Self Service.
