Hi everybody! I am new here, I recently stumbled across this page!

I have been with bullseye since last year in July. I currently have Tuesday and Thursday off for school purposes. I live with just my dad, little sister, and grandma. my grandma has become ill recently is is unable to care for herself at all. My dad works night shift 7 days a week due to 2 separate jobs. My grandma would watch my little sister while he was away at work. But in her condition, she is unable to get up by herself to do anything like get water or use the restroom. My target closes at midnight. My dad leaves for work at 10 pm some days and at 9:30 other days. Would leadership be upset with me to request I can no longer close? I am a guest advocate primarily at guest services. With closing GSA shifts sometimes in the week. We have enough trained people to close GSA in the week. I just do not want to get in trouble. I am not sure what else to do because I do need to be home.

That shouldn’t be any problem at all. First log onto Workbench, then hover over Quick Links and go down to MyTime, hover over that to the right and you’ll see MyTime Self Service, that’s what you’ll finally click on. When that page opens click Availability and that’s the page where you enter your changes. If it’s the same every week you’ll only need to fill out week 1. Any days you cannot work need to be completely blank, don’t put anything in them. The other days just need the hours you’re available (I use military time to enter times in just so I don’t mess up an AM and a PM!). From there you can select an end date, but it sounds like you’ll use the default option of forever. Don’t forget to check the box at the bottom of the page acknowledging that you understand scheduling to business needs yada yada yada. Once you have submitted it partner with HR, your SETL(s), and ETL and let them know you submitted an availability change. Letting them know why will make them more sympathetic to your situation and more likely to have no problem approving it.

Hopefully your grandma feels better soon, even if she doesn’t make a full recovery everyone deserves a good quality of life. Let us know if we can offer any more help or suggestions 😊
