Cameras INSIDE break rooms?

So I was involved in an incident today in one of the break rooms off of legacy pack, and I'm just wondering if there are cameras in the break room, should I need proof? I don't see any in the ceiling like there are out on the floor so I'm assuming the only ones point at the food we can buy. Just wondering if anyone is privy. Thank you!

Above post is empty and says nothing. Next time try to write a readable concise description with some details outlining the event. Start with an explanation of just what is "legacy pack." Many years at Target, many hours in the break room and absolutely no idea if there were cameras. We took breaks there, had lunch and everyone was responsible and essentially nobody gave a shit if there were or were not cameras present.

Your answer says nothing. My post says what it needs to say to get the point across. Do you know if there are cameras in the break room or not? It's an easy question to answer or scroll past. It doesn't matter if you gave a shit or not, I may have a reason to need footage and don't need to give any further information than that. There was zero point to your reply.

New to The BR, learn the dynamics. Repeat, the post says nothing and others on the forum with years more experience will agree. If there was an incident and you feel it needs intervention ask your TL, ETL and get AP into the mix. Curious, what incident? Someone steal your ham sandwich from the fridge?

Welcome! Most folks here will at least try to be helpful, but there always seems to be one who just exists to stir the pot. Sorry he found you on your first post. Our store does not have cameras in the breakroom, but has them just outside the door near the timeclock and lockers. Good luck, I hope you find a positive resolution for your problem.

Ignore him, he doesn't even work for Target, so has zero clue about the current status of Target dynamics and likes to yell at clouds in his copious amount of free time.

To answer your question, I've been told break rooms are privacy areas and thus, no cameras are allowed to be placed there.

I'd check with our leaders to have them inquire about camera status, and that will also get the ball rolling on an investigation into your issue, and find possible witnesses.

You're an ass.

As former AP I can tell you the only place cameras are never allowed is inside the bathrooms. Everywhere else is fair game and depends on what investigations are being done.

"I don't see any in the ceiling like there are out on the floor"

The cameras you can see on the floor are abit more than half the cameras that exist. AP uses both visible cameras for deterence as well as hidden cameras. And AP is constantly changing and moving around the cameras as needed (usually on B3 when only maintenance is in the building for discretion).

interesting, we have them out in the open but theyre supposed to be for the vendors. so you can steal the candy bars, chips and such that are just open air, i guess. they even have a sign that says something like, area monitored for your security lol. in the mbp break room its small, so i think vendor cams will catch everything. but not really sure in the main break room which is much bigger, and i think the cameras are only trained on the vendor area?

i dont know if target can/does./could also use those cameras. i thought my buddy in (backup) ap once said they couldnt have target cameras in the breakroom but idk. luck evidently says otherwise. my general feeling is target cameras arent used in the breakrooms, but again i could be wrong or it could depend on state law too.

My old store installed cameras. AP said they were more targeting the lockers.

There is really no expectation of privacy for the breakroom.
