I think if someone coached off a situation like this they could get in some serious trouble though -- it would be effectively spying on someone in the bathroom, no?

I never coached her; as a GSA I couldn't but - at the time - cell phones weren't allowed on the floor or lanes.
I reiterated what store policy was.
