Archived Can you get fired for not staying later than your scheduled time?

So supposedly after talking to my TL today the ETL is going to talk to me tomorrow about "leaving without checking in". Is that a real thing?

I would think so...Spot doesn't appreciate people just disappearing without someone knowing that they left...

Typically, most people let LODs know when they are leaving. Just say you will be happy to check in next time.

My store is like that too. Its really silly considering the TLs and LOD can just look at the schedule.

As a TM though you don't need to check in with the ETL's at all about leaving on your shift time, that's ridiculous. Believe me here's what happened. Your LOD told your TL to try to get as many people to stay. Your TL probably saw you as the easiest one to get to stay and you didn't want to and now your LOD just mad the stuff didn't get done. As a TL YES you definitely check in with your ETL's before leaving. Have HR take note of this ASAP if you haven't already. The sooner you get this to HR the better then right after call the hotline.

My question is, can he write me up for not, "checking in". Is that a real offense? I suspect, he's just pissed I didn't stay and wants an excuse to write me up. Also, he wasn't the LOD at the time, he's just my direct ETL.

He can write you up for anything if he has enough documentation and vidictiveness. You are an expendable at will employee, just talk to your HR.

CYA.
Cover your ass.
Talk to your HR TL.
Beg forgiveness for leaving without checking in, do whatever mea culpa it takes to make it look like you understand the error of your ways.
Don't let this smeghead bind you up.
