This bothers me the most. There's a HUGE pay gap between TM to ETL/Sr. TL and what a person getting paid $60,000 a year expects a guy who makes starting pay after two years of work is probably starkly different in the perspective of the TM.
To be fair, some of those ornaments are incredibly fragile, lolA flat of seasonal with all of those breakpacks and unnecessarily individually wrapped ornaments in half an hour is completely unreasonable, especially if there is a lot of guest traffic. I'm just saying.
not appreciated in the slightest by management.
Not an excuse to give a nasty attitude to the TM and not even be polite or thank them, even if it's a fake thank you. Yet they only expect TM to come in with a smile and be friendly. Fast fun and friendly are long gone. That's why I don't stay. When I don't feel wanted, I'm not going to stay.Surely it was. The LOD was asking for a favor, not lending one. They're lucky opalitewaves stuck around and got half the flat done -- they could have left at their scheduled time and nothing would have gotten done instead.
Modernization cranked turnover up to 11. Leadership can't keep blaming TMs when there's a revolving door. Eventually, the buck stops with them. If ETLs and even STLs can't produce results, they'll be out of a job soon enough. Asking people to stay late, and then attaching strings like getting an arbitrary amount of work done is doing more harm than good. They're lucky TMs are willing to stay at all given the nonsense they have to deal with.
Yes and no. My sanity is more important than 1 or 2 hours of OT plus burning up all my money in rush hour traffic that I just earned staying extra to be around assholes.I think people who prefer not to stay later are college students or are people that still live with their parents, and the extra little money they make isn’t as important. I don’t mean that in a rude way, I’m in the same situation and I’m the same way, lol. But if I were living on my own and had my own bills to pay, I’d definitely take all the hours I could get.
Let it be. They get those dang bucks. I ain't stressin' for shitMeanwhile, ETLs all over are losing both hair and sleep because of the new unrealistic expectations with the new logistics process.
Agree. 100% same here. Fuck them. My happiness is more important than the extra bucks that Uncle Sammy will take away in taxes.I used to stay all the time when I first started at Target, but my last year I stopped doing it. The reason why I stopped was simply because it was taken for granted and not appreciated in the slightest by management.
Target totally ignores the human element of business, and as a result it’s no wonder why morale is so low.
ETLs in my store wouldn't have said you were doing them a favor as you were being paid to stay later.......
But don't stay next time. Today I sashayed away from a flat with ten repacks on it without telling a soul. Just saw it, said "NOPE" then bounced! I worked my scheduled amount of hours. So I saved them from having to pay me overtime! See, I'm a team player!
Is it my fault DC sends us an insane amount of repacks? We've had double after double and it's turned me into the store's biggest asshole. People actively avoid me now and I couldn't be happier
