Corporate Dear Corporate...

This is actually false. The past week our stock is down w rest of market but on the whole our stock has done insanely well this past year. If Cornell does one thing right it’s making investors happy

Also according to this weeks q3 report our sales are up 5%.

Shut up, Amanda. You can't even sort strays.

Dear Corporate:

Thank you for hiring our new Group VMD. Please hire more people like him. Them maybe Target wouldn't be such a bad place to work. Leadership needs to be able to balance their critiques between criticism and praise like he does. Morale is down across corporate because all we ever hear from those on the top is how much we're failing at everything. Bad enough you give us these difficult processes to implement but then you visit often and bash us for everything we can't seem to get right. No one can last long in such working conditions. If all you ever feel is like a failure when you go to work then you simply don't want to go to work anymore. WHY do you think so many people are quitting?

Seriously though, the new VMD came in with an attitude of "I'm here to help" and balanced his critique between wins and what needs work and made sure to give recognition where it was due. Such a breath of fresh air compared to the corporate SVP who came in and behaved like an asshole gleeful to find everything wrong and sounded like he was a 12 year old in charge of everything while chewing out our STL. We're not perfect by any means but we're working hard in the trenches as they say. It would be nice if more corporate big wigs who visited acted like they understood that. Maybe then we wouldn't have so many good people walking out the door.

Do we work at the same store? This is how it is here. Thank god for worker’s compensation in case I actually get hurt climbing around all those boxes...
Same at mine...then there are those shitty coworkers that move at turtle speed in front of you raising frustrations even higher. Target is the modern day sweatshop. Only when there is an official visit is when they try to make it pretty "fake it till you make it" What a shithole the company became. And the leaders' attitude just gets worse and worse daily.

I always thought a color stripe for takedown date would make takedown quicker, easier and more accurate. Kind of like your car inspection sticker, green for this week, yellow for next, blue for the following. ‘’All green stripe signs off tonight’’, or whenever u walk past them during the week if missed.

At the time I left they started doing something similar to this. For the 3by5 sign, the date is color coded sometimes. Most the of the takedown at the end of the week had the same color and the different colored ones had a different end date.

Speaking of slow coworkers, I had a frustrating experience with another team member yesterday. He had a U-boat he was “working” on, and he was just standing next to it going on Instagram for most of his shift. It was like that for 5 hours, and the U-boat was barely pushed by the time he left. And the other day, he was doing reshop and I saw him drop a pack of printer paper where the party supplies were.

Dear corporate,

STOP 👏 INCLUDING 👏 THE 👏 DISPLAY 👏 UNIT 👏 IN 👏 ON-HAND 👏 COUNTS 👏

The only area where this *should* be true is tvs. Any other display in the store *should* be a dummy display with its own unique dpci separate from the sellable item and not included in the OH. And, if a sellable item is used as a display, it *should* be defected out first and, if applicable, the cord cut.

I realize this is totally an ASANTS thing dependent on whoever manages/maintains displays. Personally, I don't use sellable items for a display, unless it is specifically called out by corporate to do so. Since displays have their own dpci they get Audited until it either arrives or is discontinued.

Same, once that shit goes clearance....by all means, buy the display tree.

In the past, we had someone buy one including the ornaments....but not all the ornaments had tags. Think we ended up just making up a dpci for them.

SEE THAT CORPORATE? MAKING SALES! NO THANKS TO YOU!

Dear corporate:

The rule that hours are NOT to be given out based on performance/attendance is fuckin’ stupid. Let our ETLs reward those of us who show up on time and put in effort by filling our schedules out to 40 first, and then give whatever hours are left over to those TMs who move like snails and call out 3x a week. It doesn’t seem that hard to do considering that not everybody wants to work full time anyway.
