There was a RedWire this week about stores "accidentally" being added to target.com as STS approved store. This happened all over. The guest were supposed to be email and refunded their money and any store who received product is now supposed to SIM whatever came to get it out of the store. They said the error was corrected and should not happen again......

So, we are apparently a pilot for STS. I stumbled through creating hold locations and followed the prompts in the Receiving app. Worked fine.

Basically a guest orders something on Target.com and the DC will UPS it to us, we receive it, scan it into a hold and wait. After an hour or two the item will drop into the myFA app as a store pickup, direct you to the hold and have you pull the item just like a flexible fulfillment. I haven't gotten access to the actual documentation on workbench, I'm not authorized to view it...that's just what I figured out on my own this morning (thanks to @SFSFun)
Interesting. Hopefully they can streamline that process before rolling it out company-wide. Seems silly to "receive" it into a hold location and then pick it normally and move it to another hold location.

We're doing STS too, and I don't remember the spiel being that redundant. Though to be fair, I haven't handled any of the orders yet because our receiver processes the majority of the product. Backroom only has to deal with the product that is delivered to the service desk.

At my store, we are getting the ship to store thing. Basically, the guest order is mailed to the store for guest to pickup after 5 to 7 days. There is a spot DC not far from us.

Well, apparently we aren't part of it. It was a system bug as @AKADuchess pointed out. We've yet to receive another and the guest hasn't picked up the item.

In a stroke of pure Spot genius, I see on RedWire today that now all stores (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) are not all rolling out Ship To Store starting Oct 6th or 8th.

Anybody else ever have an order with so many eaches your on hands go negative? I've had it happen a few times, 54 of one DPCI ordered, -22 on hand.

I forgot who brought this up last time. Maybe this falls into line with the system letting another store fulfill orders after already assigning it to yours.
Something glitchy happened when I suspended the batch and then went back into it. Every item I picked kept making it lower. Even the INF screen at the end said "Look for -3 items remaining."

Afaik everything got packed.

Hmm, weird bug.

So that TM who was doing SFS full time put in their two week notice. Found a job where they are putting their degree to use as well so I'm happy for them. Crappy treatment from leadership among other things had that person wanting to leave not long after they transferred here. Only one TM aside from me is trained and actively did SFS on that person's off days. Wonder who they'll ask to take over.

I've had issues with items that we don't carry being in my orders. While picking a batch it automatically marks them not found.
MySupport it. I think there is a specific category for items like that.

Lucky, meanwhile 1/3 of our softline orders are either discontinued or Item Search shows last inbound being over a month ago. They say canceling with prevent it being requested again for 24hrs yet we still get dinged on the report. Items we've zero'ed out before keep reappear in future orders often. v_v

They have a lot of work to do as far as what they send for orders...we even got a few clearance items on our orders. MySupport, is of course, of zero help.

I've had to have canceled over 100 Shopkins things by now. I zeroed the counts but for whatever reason it still shows 1. I cancel at least 5 a day.

I'm going to become friends with whichever TM on flow gets the toys slots on the unload line, ask them to watch for the Shopkins DPCI and toss it under the line for me to retrieve later.

ETL-LOG shared details about STS (Ship To Store) with BR today. Items will get shipped to your store via UPS and processed by the Receiver. BRTMs present today watched a 4min training vid and took a test. They didn't specify the space needed to start with so he cleared two steel locations for pallet just to be safe. As for SFS, in preparation for out order limit increase from 50 to 150, ETL-LOG is relocating two vendor steel locations so we'll have four consecutive pallet spots. To the right of that is the new STS steel pallets.

Also... ETL-LOG mentioned something terrifying. I mentioned knowing about STS beforehand. I'm referring to here but didn't say that obviously. He assumed I meant RedWire I guess and responded,
"Oh! So you saw the whole Curb Side thing too right?"
Me: *blank stare* No...
"Oh yeah it's gonna be fun"

Let that sink it in. Curb Side.

@Kroneru

What's the STS steel locations for? My understanding is, when UPS drops off a package, the receiver calls over the FF TM to immediately take it to guest services, and open it up and put it into hold.

Unless your store is anticipating pallets of orders coming in at the same time.
