Archived Food or no food whats your store doing?

Catering for days when I was with target at store level. I miss that.

Old store was very bountiful - Mexican one day, Pizza next, and Chicken/Sandwiches the following weekend. With snacks, drinks and dessert to go along with it.


Today, it was bagels and chips. Guess I'm bringing my own lunch this weekend.

Exactly. I feel upset that there are TMs (like @countingsheep) who are actually not getting fed during this week even though Target specifically allocates money to stores every month for TM recognition. Any store that has no food at all during Thanksgiving and Black Friday has majorly failed their team.

I didn't work today. But I doubt we got much of anything. Seems like my store is cheap as hell. They took the cable out of the breakroom to save money!! Lol, we're making millions every week and they didn't even want to pay for cable? Talk about avarice . . .

We had so much food just this week. Pizza from a local place yesterday, burritos, Jimmy Johns, Chick-Fil-A, Boston Market and Olive Garden. I didn’t touch my lunch.

My store used to provide a full turkey meal. Yesterday was sandwiches and bag of chips and we were on our own for something to drink. Ohh... and there were several pies. I ate the pie first

Wednesday we had an endless supply of Dominos pizza, yesterday overnight TMs got Denny’s for breakfast, then we dayside/closing TMs had KFC extra crispy arrangements of chicken, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese (one of the new GSA baked too many mini pumpkin cheesecake pies and brought it in so I’m eternally grateful for the little treat)

We got breakfast bagels and muffins, but the lunch meal came way late so everyone who opened took their meal before it came. At least our STL told us to make sure to go up and grab some quickly. It got delivered cold though. Blech.

I told them and yes I know I am being pissy but for what they did to my work center I can be pissy.. "A muffin is not a lunch meal."

So we got pizza for the setup but it wasn't enough to go around or people pigged out. Either way when I got up to the breakroom for my share there were 2 slices left out of all of the boxes. Worried that someone else would miss out, I only ate one and sure enough someone came up after me and had the second. Thursday they had Subway and Friday we had left over Subway. Aside from doughnuts Friday morning, that's it. Definitely gotten worse over the years but it is better than nothing.

Thanksgiving food in slow cookers, pie, and someone brought Chick-Fil-A.

Which is surprising, because theres not 1 Chick-Fil-A thats within 2-3 miles of our store.
