I’m a Guest Advocate and my schedule only ever says Checkout Advocate or Service Advocate. Now in two weeks it says Inventory. The idea of the job seems self explanatory but when I look on our schedule grid I don’t even see Inventory on there. Does anyone have any idea what “Inventory” actually does?

Is your store having inventory? If so it’s all hands on deck.
Also, at Target there is no set positions or job centers. They will use you whenever, wherever.
I do want to express my personal appreciation for what guest attendant do. Thank you.

Your store is probably having its yearly inventory. Its not hard inventory day is usually pretty chill for tms. Can be stressful for leads if your store isnt ready though lol

In our store, "Inventory" means you are on keys. You get to answer guest calls for assistance unlocking secured items, unlocking dressing rooms, etc. In between those "key runs", you will get to push a three-tier of stuff onto the shelves in a particular section of the store, i.e. health & beauty, market, stationery, home essentials, etc. Inventory is a payroll center, just like SCO (self checkout), sometimes those hours end up being used to cover Checkout cashiering and Service Desk.
