Has anyone done the foundational(?) leadership program?

I am midway through it right now, and tbh, I am not getting much out of it. It’s just generic leadership tropes and awkward zoom breakout groups. I do like how diverse the roles of the other participants are- ETLs, SDs, Distribution Center, HQ.

But its not hard, it doesn’t involve a lot of prep or homework- its just a Zoom Call I take every other week, and it will look good for me after I complete it.

I feel like you'd get more out of networking above your level through it than the actual content, like connecting with SDs, DC OMs, and HQ people. Looking at the program contents, it's strange to me that they're excluding stores TL/PG45 from yet another program.

I did it. It was a huge waste of time.

Its a terrible networking opportunity. You don't really get time to get to know the leader running your breakout room.

If you want actual developmental help. Partner with an actual leader above you one on one like @BackupTL mentions. Otherwise its just a waste of time.

Probably not. Just like the “yellow belt” training. It’s useless outside of target.
