No amount of food will change the morale of a store. The morale of a store starts at the top and store leadership.

I’m glad it speaks to you. However, to view food as a morale booster when things are shit and not getting better, then it’s not the panacea they think it is.

Your store has a monthly recognition budget

Often saved for Q4. Q1-3s budget is only like $1000 so stores will often save it for Q4 so they can actually get good food and more often. The annual recognition budget is pretty small tbh.

I budget throughout the year where I use my monthly budget and I am able to save some for Q4. There are ways to have food monthly and be able to do fun things for the team.

Seems like my store uses the whole budget just for Q4, although sometimes we get picnic-style food for Memorial Day and/or Labor Day. What we've had so far this quarter has been okay. Some years have been better.
Agree with the OP though - if morale is bad, it won't get better by feeding TMs. Sorry your store is struggling.

Attitude readjustment...attitude like THAT is why I stopped caring.

Why bother caring when shit goes south due to cashiers being robbed of people sent to OPU? Why bother caring when TLs try to hold the 2 cashiers remaining responsible for the line being so long? When you have to do the SCO position with no extra pay?

The more managers like that crack down the more I bend. Yeah I could probably get more recognition if I worked hard - but that doesn't pay my bills.

I hate Scott Adams but I'm slowly turning into Wally as a result.
