Seriously, I really wanna know. STL is having us get AX1969 (22 inch white pushers) for the all of the freezer sections, and he's getting the black gen 3 pushers for all of market. I've seen the cost of the AX1969 when they get orders, hence the title question, how much money do stores get to spend on fixtures?

The AX1969 is on the way to becoming obsolete. AX7075 is the new style freezer pusher and is part of the corporate rollout of pushers in Market, being sent to stores at no charge. In addition, the gen 3 for the rest of Market is also part of the roll out, also sent at no charge to stores implementing it. Maybe your STL is referring to this new roll out. If so, your store should not have to order any of it as it will be sent automatically.

That being said, I do not know of any specific budgets for ordering fixtures. I order what I need and no one has said anything about what it costs, ever. I recently spent almost $2000 on shelves for milk for replacement and no one batted an eye.

Yup 1500 on milk shelves here too.

No one has ever come to me and told me I have over spent, and I've spent a lot.

I order 1-2k in supplies about once a month. I think the most recent order was over 4k because we're preparing for SFS volume to quintuple in a few weeks.

He mentioned to the DTL "getting ahead of the curve".

Got a picture of AX7075?

Our STL wanted to get ahead too. So the HR ordered one box of everything. One. I laughed when they arrived. For the rollout, we received 9 pallets of fixtures. It's not worth it to order to get ahead, but I would suggest start planning now on how it is going to be done. Leadership at my store did not and now we are behind.

If I remember tonight I will take a pic of the new freezer pushers. Kind of nice, kind of a pain in the ass.

We just got like 6 pallets in.

Turns out he's also putting them in the pet treat aisle, presumably the section with dog shampoo too.
