so I have Thanksgiving off but I did have a cashier shift on that Friday. Well I put my shift up on the swap board and someone took it and it got approved. Now my question is since I'm not working that day will they now schedule me to work on Thanksgiving now?

I did that last year when I hadn't even made it 30 days yet. (I did work my Thursday evening/Friday am shift tho) Had child home from school who hadn't been home in 6 mos, and dang if I was going to work all weekend if I didn't have to)
Anyway, someone picked up my 2nd shift on Black Friday, and it was approved by a LOD, so all was good. Since someone approved the swap, don't worry. Target just wants a body there and more often than not, doesn't care WHO it is as long as you can perform the task.

Yea there was a not on the time clock saying today was the last day to do so.

In years past my store has been adamant that everyone works Black Friday. For someone who goes to the trouble of having their shift covered, they are given a new shift. Since it sounds like this didn't happen to you, just keep an eye on the schedule to ensure nothing changes in the mean time.

If the shift was signed off on you should be good to go. The schedule is posted you wont get any shifts added without your consent.
