When the batteries are low they don't unlock automatically; after while they don't unlock at ALL.

We had the electronic combo ones when I started. I used the same locker everyday until the battery gave out and it would never unlock. None of the batteries were ever replaced/charged/whatever. Eventually after they were all dead or broken they started changing to the dial combo ones. Now half of our lockers are electronic ones with no battery and the other half are broken dial ones because so many of the TMs couldn't figure them out.
