My call-out wasn't approved?

This is the first time I've ever heard of something like this. Is this a new policy that Target implemented recently?

What were the circumstances that led to the denial? Did you call in advance? Adequate lead time? Call out frequency? Attendance record? Any CA's?

I didn't get any specifications during a convo. We're told to use an app for call outs, and much of it was due to snow storms when i did.

How far in advance of your shift did you call out? Did you use the phone? Did you talk with HR, TL, ETL? Do it verbally and document names, times, content of conversations.

Were you within the 2 hour call-in window?

All but one were hours before my shift started. The last one, I started experiencing breathing problems half an hour before a shift.
