I feel like you should have learned how to remove the security tags and take checks during your first training session on the register. Wtf is your store doing with new cashiers, just throwing them to the wolves?

At the check lane, there is a remote-looking thing that's bulky and fits in your hands, at my store at least if you're sitting at your register looking forward, it's to your bottom right besides the drawer where you put coupons and giftcards etc. On the bottom of the magnet, there is two metallic rectangles and two notches. The metal is the magnets.
When you hit Total a new menu will pop up, I believe it's like K2 that says Checks I think. One of them should say Checks. You hit that, it will make you enter in the total(or just press k1, that's the total and it does it for you.) and it will ask to insert check into the check swiper that's part of your Receipt Printer, it's right under it. You insert it the way you're suppose to and it goes to town. It may require customer ID.
That's why I didn't answer it. Didn't seem right.
