But you know the term “own the libs” maybe referring to satan is “own the Christian nationalists.” I say that from my own experience because I would definitely yell all hail satan if someone was b1tch1ng about the pride section. Just because they reference a mythological figure doesn't mean they believe in it. It's more to trigger the Christian nationalist far rightwing loonies that believe everything they're told. Satan is just a symbol. There might be some "Satanists" that actually worship the mythological Satan, but the Church of Satan and afaik, The Satanic Temple, don't believe in "Gods" because they're all man-made constructs. Self is their god.
