What would be a reason for an ETL to get fired but has been told they can't discuss it with anyone.

That can be done . Unless the person held the item or didn’t wait for 15 minutes .Clearancing something in the system and buying the same day.
Wtfoh this one’s bad. Forgetting to set the cash office alarm. Calling from home and giving the code to the cleaning crew to enter in. (Back when cleaning crew worked overnight)
Our ETL got fired for smoking pot in the bathroom in the back. I mean how dumb can you be? People had seen them in their car a couple times so I guess the bathroom was more private. Actually got away with it for a couple months until someone ratted them out. What would be a reason for an ETL to get fired but has been told they can't discuss it with anyone.
Probably not internal but some smart thief put a tag with the right brand and right size on another shirt of similar color. That thing was there on the floor for months. It was sleeveless and mostly red and when we got to late fall i was sure it had to be clearance. Checked with price change and it turned out the tag was for a red cardigan. It fooled everyone in softlines because the tag simply said "red".Printing bar codes for a cheap product and putting them on an expensive one. You can keep the products in the same department, and still have an advocate ring you up. This will take longer to figure out imo. Like put a barcode for 48 ounce Tide on the 128 ounce version. Most would not notice that.
Or purchased it right out of the backroom. Or right after they pulled the POG. Our leadership is just gross. That can be done . Unless the person held the item or didn’t wait for 15 minutes .
Fired for a DUI arrest? That seems...surprising.Just a few for my ETLs-
Walked off job
Stealing money
DUI arrest
Hoarding merchandise
Sleeping/relationship with team
Uncompleted tasks
Ignoring team complaints
Not a district butt kisser
Re-Org'ed out/Too Old School
At my current job we had a employee get arrested for something non work related on the job and still has a job to this day so not necessarily trueplenty of companies will give you the sack for getting arrested at all, regardless of the reason
If it was on their way home it proves they were drunk on the jobFired for a DUI arrest? That seems...surprising.
A backroom employee with access to powered equipment and ladders it an accident waiting to happen. We had a guy who enjoyed a liquid lunch quite frequently, a back room TM. Visibly loaded quite a bit. He got the boot. Quite a nice pleasant young guy with a serious problem.
Target isn't one of them though. I know this from experience.plenty of companies will give you the sack for getting arrested at all, regardless of the reason
Not necessarily. It's quite possible that Target offered the termed ETL a severance package, with "strings attached" in the form of a written settlement agreement. Assuming that the ETL accepted the severance package, those settlement agreements often include signing away their right to sue Target, along with a non-disparagement clause ("gag order"), non-disclosure clause, and other provisions to keep the terms confidential. If Target were to learn that the former ETL somehow violated the settlement agreement, they can demand the severance money be paid back in full. In other words, a severance package is "hush money".Isn't that the case for anyone who gets fired?
