This is incredibly hard to write. I recently came across a post asking about Peter and I wasn’t sure how to respond. I hesitated, hoping for better news. But today, I found his obituary, and my heart sank.

Peter was more than just a volunteer moderator in The Break Room. He was a deeply compassionate soul, someone who gave so much of himself, online and off, to fight for justice, for equity, and for people who needed a voice. If you knew him, even a little, you knew how fiercely he cared. He wasn’t afraid to stand up for what he believed in, and he did it with conviction, heart, and incredible empathy.

We didn’t always agree, but I always respected him. He was thoughtful, principled, and kind, a rare combination. He was one of those people you could argue with one day and still admire the next, because you knew his heart was always in the right place.

Peter, we never met in person, but I feel like I knew you. I hope you're at peace now. I hope you're reunited with your beloved wife, and I know your daughters must miss you more than words can say. But you raised them with love, strength, and values that will carry on through them.

Thank you for everything you gave to this world. You made it better, and you will be missed—truly and deeply.

God bless you.
