I haven't been on this site in many months, though I still work at Target as a grade 35 in S&E in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. Some time ago, I posted frequently at TBR. I had a few disagreements with Peter, but have enormous respect for the work he played in developing this web community for those of us who choose (for one reason or another) to work at Target, or have worked at Target in the past. I'm a bit surprised to realize we are very close in chronological age. It's impossible to conceive what a loss this is for his family and close friends. My own father passed away in January and the memories continue to have an impact on my life.

Same. He was always good about putting out fires with factual discourse. The only time he 'shouted' was when he was ready to use the Banhammer.

Why was my post merged with the original thread? I intended it to be a dedicated memorial. Combining it with the earlier thread, especially one that includes speculation about his absence and comments from someone who didn’t even like him, feels deeply inappropriate.

It sours the memory. Commiecorvorius deserved a space of his own, free from that context. Frankly, I think this was in incredibly poor taste.

Who didn't like Mr. Commie? We bumped heads many times and I respected him. He was an intelligent well spoken guy who is missed. Assuming someone took his job.
