it seems to me like the guest is defrauding the manufacturer and Target is just caught in the middle. With a receipt or not, if we adjust return values to take the coupon off of the return value, then Target is pocketing the coupon...they get reimbursed for the coupon and then don't give the coupon value back to the guest
The Target Coupons, we are not reimbursed for. We are also not reimbursed for the copied or fraudulent/fake coupons, that are presented.
Another thing worth noting, is we're giving back the item value, however, not everything that's returned can be put back on the floor. Some of it has to be salvaged out or tossed. For what we can put back, it's countless hours of wasted payroll & tm's time.
These people are not assisting Target, or giving us sales. We're losing money, in multiple ways. Between the tossed goods, fake coupons, and loss of payroll.
Funny part is, Wal-Mart doesn't have these issues. Just us.
